Yes I enjoyed school science practicals. Especially the ones where we got to build electronic circuits. Chemistry practicals were a bit more stressful as they could be quite fiddly and I was afraid of getting acid on my hands – but they were still fun.
I enjoyed them, but probably for the wrong reason. I was a bit of a chatterbox in school, and practicals meant we could talk with our fellow students rather than listen to the teacher.
I don’t remember particularly loving practicals at school, I often thought that they were quite fast-paced and confusing at the time. Now I can go at my own pace and I’ve actually done some reading about what I’m doing, so my experiments now make a lot more sense to me!
